How a Home Food Brand Could Take Batch Pre-Orders Online
Lek makes small batches of chili paste in his home kitchen in Khon Kaen. Each batch sells out, but orders came in through a LINE group and a Facebook page, so he never knew how many jars to make until the last minute.

The challenge
Lek cooks in batches, so he needs to know the numbers before he starts. Orders arrived in scattered messages, some customers never paid, and he sometimes made too many jars or too few.
“I used to cook first and count orders later, and some people never paid. Now customers reserve their jars and about 80% pay a deposit online, so I know roughly 150 jars are sold before I light the stove.”
How Lek uses Suriya
Batch Pre-Orders
Customers reserve the jars they want from an online catalog before each batch is cooked.
PromptPay Deposits
A deposit is paid by PromptPay QR when the order is placed, so reserved jars are real orders.
A Cooking List
Lek sees one list of how many jars of each paste are reserved and paid before he starts.
One Link to Share
The same shop link goes into the LINE group, the Facebook page and every jar's thank-you note.
What could change
- ~150 jars reserved per batch before cooking starts
- ~80% of reservations have a PromptPay deposit paid upfront
- Unsold jars down by ~10%, because Lek cooks what is actually reserved
- Lek saves ~1 hour a day he used to spend counting orders in the LINE group
